Detailed itinerary of 5 Days Serengeti National Park Safari
Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
After breakfast at your hotel in Arusha or upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our guide. After a short briefing about what to expect in the safari, you will embark on a drive to Tarangire National Park – a scenic Tanzania safari destination renowned for its scenic landscape dominated by the iconic baobab trees and large herds of elephants.
Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge and have a short rest, in the afternoon you will go for a game drive enjoying sights of various animals including zebras, buffaloes, herds of elephants, gazelles, giraffes among others. After sunset, you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Tarangire Area – Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you will depart towards the Rift Valley passing through Mto Wa Mbu and Karatu in the cooler regions of the crater highlands. You will have a stopover at the crater view point for views of the crater from above, descend into the crafter floor on your way to Serengeti National Park.
You will have another stopover at Naabi Hill Entrance Gate for spectacular views across the endless plains of the Serengeti and continue to the central part of the Serengeti. You will have lunch at your lodge after check-in, in the afternoon you will for a game drive enjoying sights of various animas including lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, giraffes, elephants, elands, warthogs, cheetahs among others. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park Safari
After breakfast, you will head to Serengeti National Park where you will spend a whole day on a game drive with picnic lunch. Depending on the time you visit the park, you can witness the Great Migration with hundred thousand of wildebeests, zebras and Thompson gazelles. During the small rainy season in October and November, you will see these herds moving from Masai Mara through the northwest of the Serengeti to the plains in the South.
After the great rainy season in April, May and June, the herds slowly travel back through the western and north-western part of the Serengeti. With the fluctuations in rainfall, this time table can of course change resulting in the animals migrating different times and routes.
During the game drive, your will see other wildlife animals including lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, warthogs, giraffes, elands and cheetahs among others.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Crater – Karatu
After breakfast, you will start on your outward journey to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. During the game drive you might see predators in action, have lunch at a designated picnic spot. When you reach at the crater’s edge, you will descend into the crater for a game drive, Ngorongoro Crater a World Heritage Site and the largest intact caldera in the world is home to over 25,000 animals including a variety of birds, hyenas, the Big Five – lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, rhinos and leopard among others which you will see during the game drive.
You will drive to Karatu where you will spend the night at the Ngorongoro Farm House.

Day 5: Karatu – Arusha
After a relaxing breakfast, you will return to Arusha arriving in noon. You will be dropped off either at the hotel or at the airport for your departure flight back home.
