Currency in Rwanda

While on a tour in Rwanda you can use US dollars easily across the country and the use of credit/debit cards is acceptable at most lodges, parks, restaurants and bars.


However we still encourage having a little bit of the local currency which can be used in some remote towns or along the high way drive if you like to buy some fruits or snacks directly from the locals. You can get the local currency at ATM’s and forex bureaus.
