Day 1: Kigali – Musanze

After a relaxed breakfast at the hotel, meet with your guide to starting your Rwanda adventure. Explore the city of Kigali by visiting some of the historical landmarks like the Kigali Genocide Memorial, the famous hotel Mille Colline, the campaign against the genocide museum and optional visits to different art galleries, and markets like Kimironko.

Enjoy the taste of Rwanda at one of the local restaurants or any of your preferred cuisine as we have many options. Thereafter set off for Volcanoes N.P. home to Rwanda’s precious primates (MOUNTAIN GORILLAS). This drive offers opportunities to enjoy the scenic views of the land of a thousand hills and interact with local communities.

Check-in on arrival, dinner at the lodge.

Day 2: Rwanda Mountain Gorilla Trekking

Early morning breakfast at the lodge before you depart at 6:30 am, a short drive to the park office where allocation for the gorilla groups/briefing takes place. With a maximum of 8 pax in every gorilla group, a lifetime adventure with the gorillas where you spend 1 hour with this magnificent primate species.

On return enjoy lunch at the lodge. OPTIONAL afternoon activities like community visits to experience the local/culture of Rwandans, a scenic drive to the twin lakes of Burera and Ruhondo, and canoeing on River Mukungwa.

Day 3: Golden Monkey Trekking

Early morning breakfast at the lodge before you depart at 6:30 am, a short drive to the park office where allocation/briefing takes place. With a maximum of about 15-20 people in a group you will hike to trek the golden monkeys where you spend 1 hour with this magnificent primate species. On return enjoy lunch at the lodge/option to freshen up and set off for Kigali, drop off the airport/hotel.
